Partnerships

AVBCC regularly engages in strategic partnerships in pursuit of our mission. By collaborating with like-minded organizations, we have expanded our network, encouraged greater dialogue around the topic of value-based cancer care, and enhanced quality of life for patients with cancer and their families.

40 Under 40 in Cancer

Forty Under 40 in Cancer is an awards initiative supported by the Association for Value-Based Cancer Care, Amplity Health, Swim Across America, and the National Community Oncology Dispensing Association, Inc that aims to identify and recognize the contributions being made across the field of cancer by rising stars and emerging leaders age 40 and under. Individuals may be nominated in a number of categories, including:

  • Clinical and Patient Care Professional
  • Biopharma, Diagnostics, and Devices
  • Research, Science, and Technology
  • Government, Regulatory, Payer, and Provider
  • Patient, Advocacy, and Policy

Finalists and awardees are selected by a panel of reviewers from across diverse roles in oncology and are honored during a private celebration in June.

Conquer Cancer® Council Advisory Group

AVBCC’s commitment to impacting patient care and improving outcomes has led us to partner with like-minded organizations. These include the Conquer Cancer Council, an initiative led by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Foundation.

The Conquer Cancer Council provides a platform for advocates, clinicians, researchers, and industry stakeholders (from both for-profit and non-profit organizations) to come together and positively impact cancer care by discussing challenges, exploring potential solutions, and exchanging ideas and unique perspectives.

Conference Partnerships

At AVBCC we believe strongly in the need for ongoing discourse around value-based cancer care. In addition to hosting our own annual Educational Summit & Program, we regularly bring our messages to others through sponsorships and presentations.

Some of the organizations with whom we partner include Asembia, the Association of Community Cancer Centers, Community Oncology Alliance, and the American Society of Hematology.

Supporting Aspiring Investigators

The future of cancer care begins with our actions today. This belief has led AVBCC to sponsor young investigators and encourage and promote high-quality research in clinical oncology.

In 2023, we proudly joined with the ASCO Foundation’s Conquer Cancer® initiative to present Andrew Stiff, MD, PhD, of Ohio State University with the Young Investigator Award. This 1-year, $50,000 award will provide Andrew with funding during his transition from a fellowship program to a faculty appointment. This support includes his personnel and/or research expenses as well as travel to attend the Conquer Cancer Grants & Awards ceremony at the ASCO Annual meeting.
